My client is a leading global energy conglomerate based in central London.
Description
As the Group Consolidation Accountant you will be responsible for the following:
- Prepare consolidated financial statements for the Group half year and year end, including ESG reporting and compliance with applicable standards and regulations
- Prepare statutory accounts for UK legal entities (IFRS and FRS101)
- Perform and coordinate the timely submission of the monthly Group financial statements and Inter-company confirmations
- Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts on a quarterly basis
- Assist the Audit team for Group and Statutory Audit
- Advise on accounting treatment for extraordinary and non-routine business transactions
- Ad-hoc projects supporting the development of new financial strategies and M&A activity
- Act as a mentor for the Finance Apprentices
Profile
To be considered for this Group Consolidation Accountant role you must have the following:
- ACA or equivalent professional qualifications
- Consolidation experience
- Experience in a major international group preferable
- Working knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS and UK GAAP) and corporate governance/ reporting
