Employment lawyer – Manchester
Our client are a highly regarded and well known firm and are seeking an ambitious and commercially astute Employment lawyer to join their strong team in Manchester. This is ideally a role for an established partner, however, the firm will consider first step partners if they have a business case that supports a partner position. As an Employment Partner, you will help develop the team further and assist in growing and supporting the wider Employment team. The team is well established and has good leadership already and are looking to add to that. They have a particularly strong contentious practice but the joining partner will have their own caseload handling either contentious and non-contentious matters. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and skilled individual with at least 8 years of experience and will be able to make a significant impact and contribute to the ongoing success of the firm.
The team has a well established portfolio of clients and more information and details will be provided on application
The successful candidate will
- Work with the leadership group to develop the Employment team, providing guidance and support to junior associates and solicitors.
- Handle a diverse caseload of both contentious and non-contentious Employment matters.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing tailored legal advice and representation.
- Contribute to business development activities, including networking and client acquisition strategies.
- Collaborate with other practice areas to provide comprehensive legal solutions to clients.
The team are looking for a
- Qualified solicitor with at least 8 years of solid experience in Employment law.
- Demonstrable expertise in handling both contentious and non-contentious Employment matters.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client management abilities.
- A proven track record of successful business development and client relationship management.
The successful candidate will have their own priorities depending on their practice but will be expected to:
- Provide high-quality legal advice and representation to clients across a range of Employment matters.
- Develop and implement business development strategies, including networking and marketing initiatives.
- Stay abreast of changes in legislation and industry developments to ensure the firm’s services remain compliant and effective.

Job Tenure: Permanent and Full-Time
Salary: £100000 – £250000 per annum
