Part-Time Payroll Administrator – (circa 20 hours/week | London)

Based in central London, you will play a key role in supporting payroll operations within a dynamic and award-winning engineering practice.

Description
- Coordinate end-to-end payroll processing using Sage Payroll
- Manage starters, leavers, and statutory deductions (SSP, SMP, SPL)
- Ensure accurate pro-rata calculations and statutory payments
- Reconcile monthly payroll and prepare payroll journals
- Administer the company pension scheme and salary sacrifice benefits
- Respond to employee queries related to payroll and pensions
- Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and liaise with HMRC
- Support internal and external audits and statutory submissions
- Assist with P11D, PSA, Gender Pay Gap reporting, and ONS surveys
- Produce advanced Excel reports and quarterly timesheet analysis
- Collaborate with HR and Finance on salary and bonus review communications
Profile
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- Mandatory experience using Sage Payroll
- 10+ years of payroll experience (ACIPP study preferred)
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation and HMRC processes
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- A proactive approach to improving systems and processes
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
