Assistant General Manager – Premium Dining
Location: Manchester
Salary: Up to £47,500
The Opportunity
I’m working with a fantastic premium restaurant and bar in Manchester looking for an experienced Assistant General Manager to join the team.
This is a hands-on, floor-focused role where you’ll work closely with the General Manager, taking real ownership of the day-to-day operation.
You’ll lead from the front across service, onboarding, training and people development, ensuring the team consistently delivers a brilliant guest experience.
The Role
- Take ownership of the restaurant operation and lead busy services from the floor.
- Drive exceptional standards across service and guest experience.
- Recruit, onboard, coach and develop a strong management and front-of-house team.
- Work closely with the GM and kitchen team to create a joined-up operation.
- Support with labour control, commercial performance and wider restaurant KPIs.
- Manage bookings, events and key guest relationships.
- Be a visible face of the restaurant and a genuine ambassador for the brand.

- Experience leading busy, high-performing restaurant teams.
- A genuine passion for food, wine and brilliant hospitality.
- Strong people leadership with the ability to coach and develop others.
- Commercially aware and comfortable understanding labour and restaurant performance.
- Polished, engaging and confident on the floor.
- Obsessed with the detail and delivering an exceptional guest experience.
