We’re working on an exciting confidential search for a General Manager to lead a high-profile New York City flagship for an established hospitality group.
This is an opportunity for a charismatic, hands-on hospitality leader who thrives in a busy, energetic environment and genuinely enjoys being at the heart of the operation. The venue combines elevated food and cocktails with a vibrant, social atmosphere — polished without feeling overly formal.
The successful candidate will play a key role in leading the operation, developing the team, building a strong regular clientele and creating an exceptional guest experience from the floor up.
The Opportunity
As General Manager, you’ll be the face of the operation and a key partner to ownership and senior leadership. You’ll have the opportunity to make your mark on the venue, build a high-performing team and establish the service culture and standards from day one.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading day-to-day FOH operations and setting the standard for exceptional service
- Being highly visible on the floor and creating a warm, energetic and engaging guest experience
- Building genuine relationships with regulars, VIPs and high-profile clientele
- Recruiting, developing and motivating a strong FOH management and service team
- Partnering closely with culinary and beverage leadership to ensure seamless service
- Overseeing private dining, buyouts, cocktail receptions, corporate events and large-scale functions
- Managing service during high-volume periods while maintaining consistency and attention to detail
- Supporting financial performance, labor management and operational standards
- Working closely with ownership and senior leadership on the continued growth of the venue
- Creating a culture where hospitality, personality and teamwork are at the forefront
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is naturally personable, commercially savvy and genuinely passionate about hospitality.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Proven General Manager experience within high-volume, elevated or lifestyle-driven restaurants
- Experience leading a sophisticated operation with a strong emphasis on guest experience
- A strong understanding of food, wine, spirits and modern cocktail culture
- Experience with VIP clientele, events, private dining and large-scale hospitality
- The ability to build relationships and turn first-time guests into regulars
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to develop and retain teams
- A hands-on approach — someone who is comfortable leading from the floor rather than from the office
- Strong operational and financial understanding, including labor and cost management
- A stable career history with a track record of meaningful, long-term tenure
- The personality, confidence and presence to represent a flagship NYC venue
