This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Finance Manager to join a not-for-profit organisation in Oxford. The role involves managing the day to day accounting function as well as overseeing some facilities functions for the organisation.

Description

  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including billing
  • Chasing outstanding debtors
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Preparing the monthly management accounts
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare accurate financial reports against budget and present them to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
  • Manage payroll and monitor cash flow to support operational needs.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on financial strategies and decision-making.
  • There are lots of opportunities to improve and update internal financial controls and processes.

The Finance Manager will also play a large role in the procurement and facilities management for the organisation. It is a small team and so this role although predominantly finance, will be more of an Office Manager role encompassing a wide range of duties.

Profile

A successful Finance Manager should have:

  • A recognised accounting qualification or equivalent experience in accounting and finance.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and reporting standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and financial planning effectively.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Analytical skills with a detail-oriented and organised approach.
  • Experience in the not-for-profit sector is advantageous but not essential.

Job Offer
