Our market leading Corporate & Investment Banking client seeks a fluent German M&A Advisory Director to lead the origination and execution of M&A transactions, with a particular focus on industrial and industrial technology sectors, manufacturing, materials and transport across the DACH and Northern European regions. London
The role:
- Origination of M&A transactions and lead execution as deal captain, playing a leadership role – training and coaching VPs and junior bankers.
- Originate M&A transactions in general, but particularly in the following sectors such as industrials, capital goods, industrial technology, manufacturing, materials, transport, logistics in DACH and Northern European regions
- Target deal size is a few hundred million to a few billion US dollars (ie. mid market)
- Ensure adherence to industry regulations and company policies.
- Manage relationships with clients, investors, and other key partners.

A successful German M&A Director should have:
- Experience originating in Continental Europe, particularly the DACH and potentially Northern European regions and sectors such as industrials, capital goods, industrial technology, manufacturing, materials, transport, logistics
- Rich hands-on experience in origination and execution of M&A transactions, in depth understanding of M&A business and strong M&A technical skills and extensive experience of high quality advice to clients.
- Proven experience in leading successful M&A processes.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong negotiation skills and a strategic mindset.
- Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.
- Strong understanding of industry regulations and corporate governance.
