My client is a leading global energy conglomerate based in central London.

Description

As the Group Consolidation Accountant you will be responsible for the following:

  • Prepare consolidated financial statements for the Group half year and year end, including ESG reporting and compliance with applicable standards and regulations
  • Prepare statutory accounts for UK legal entities (IFRS and FRS101)
  • Perform and coordinate the timely submission of the monthly Group financial statements and Inter-company confirmations
  • Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts on a quarterly basis
  • Assist the Audit team for Group and Statutory Audit
  • Advise on accounting treatment for extraordinary and non-routine business transactions
  • Ad-hoc projects supporting the development of new financial strategies and M&A activity
  • Act as a mentor for the Finance Apprentices

Profile

To be considered for this Group Consolidation Accountant role you must have the following:

  • ACA or equivalent professional qualifications
  • Consolidation experience
  • Experience in a major international group preferable
  • Working knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS and UK GAAP) and corporate governance/ reporting
