With Operations across the globe and with an ever expanding customer base, this prestigious manufacturer are planning the next part of their recruitment push in the Health and Safety team. Following their recent investment they are looking for a Health and Safety Advisor to join their well-established team, The company has multiple sites within the organisation and offers brilliant stability as well as internal and external training courses on specific manufacturing equipment together with a realistic chance to develop within the team.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Provide competent and professional health & Safety advisory service to the Operational Unit to support managers, operations and engineers in their responsibilities with respect to H&S.
  • Assist with third party ISO 45001 OH&S accreditations and certifications.
  • Conduct H&S audits and on-site inspections to identify workplace hazards such as unsafe conditions and acts, and propose remedial actions.
  • Assist with the development of suitable action plans to close gaps from any findings identified during 1st, 2nd and 3rd party audits.
  • Develop H&S policies, standards and procedures.
  • Support with the Management of Change business procedure.
  • Actively participate and provide inputs in the Company H&S improvement projects.
  • Support with the development and implementation of H&S plans.
  • Develop and deliver training modules associated with Health & Safety as required.
  • Coach and support the operational teams in risk analysis techniques.
  • Lead and facilitate the preparation of specific risk assessments.
  • Monitor the provision of H&S topic specific risk assessments by outside contractors or consultants.
  • Support in investigations of significant incidents, ensuring they are conducted to the right standards, root cause analysis is carried out and actions are identified to prevent recurrence.
  • Support the business unit to assure compliance with relevant H&S regulations.
  • Work with other Health & Safety team members to achieve company objectives.
  • Maintain and analyse records of workplace injuries, illness, and absences to identify areas of concern and address reoccurring problems.
  • Monitor adherence to site Safe Systems of Work within the Operational Units.
  • Provide structured communication within the Operational Unit relating to Health & Safety.
  • Act as an OH&S role model at all the times by setting an example

  • Experience working as a Health and Safety Advisor within a manufacturing environment.
