Overview

An Interim Disrepair Surveyor is sought for a temporary role within the Property department of a public sector organisation. The successful candidate will have a primary focus on maintaining standards and efficiency in surveying procedures.

Description

  • Conducting detailed property surveys and producing comprehensive reports.
  • Expert witness and court attendance (occasionally) required
  • Section 11 and 82
  • Identifying and diagnosing property defects and disrepair.
  • Providing expert advice on disrepair and remedial actions.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory obligations and regulations.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of surveying processes.
  • Liaising with contractors and overseeing quality of work.
  • Managing and resolving any disrepair disputes in a timely manner.

Profile

A successful Interim Disrepair Surveyor should have:

  • A degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Extensive knowledge of building construction and property disrepair.
  • Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using surveying software and tools.
