Description
The Management Accountant will have a wide range of duties including:
- Prepare and present management accounts with detailed analysis for stakeholders.
- Support budget preparation and forecasting processes for the their portfolio.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Oversee month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Analyse financial performance and provide actionable insights to senior management.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate cost allocation and reporting.
- Manage reconciliations and maintain the integrity of financial records.
- Business Partnering responsibilities, reviewing accounts with senior stakeholders across the business.
Profile
A successful Management Accountant should be:
- Studying for a Professional accounting qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA).
- Experience in month end accounting processes, ideally including preparation of management accounts.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
