Overview

Supported by a part-time Finance Director, you will be responsible for managing the day to day Finances for the business. Over the next 18-24 months, the Finance Director plans to reduce his hours with the business which will allow this role to grow into a Head of Finance role.

Client Details

My client are an entrepreneurial, owner managed business based in the City Centre that are now turning over just over £15 million and have ambitions to get to £25 million in the next few years. They have seen continuous growth over the past 5 years and having recently moved into a new office in Manchester City Centre.

Description

  • Month-end reporting and ownership of budgeting and forecasting
  • Prepare detailed financial reports, budgets, and forecast models
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic business decisions
  • Analysis of balance sheet and profit & loss statements
  • Monitor cash flow, reconcile accounts, and maintain financial records
  • Credit control and Payment runs
  • VAT returns and liaise with Payroll bureau
  • Develop and maintain financial performance dashboards and reporting mechanisms
  • Automate and develop the transaction side of the accounts
  • Integrate Sales Orders, Sales Change Order, and Project Budget process between accounts and project management team
  • Assist in cost reduction and efficiency improvement initiatives
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses and special projects as required
  • Provide actionable financial insights to senior management

Profile

  • ACA/ACCA/ACIMA qualified or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of experience in management accounting
  • Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting standards
  • Self-motivated, proactive, dedicated and organised individual to join the committed team in the pursuit of excellence
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Knowledge of Sage 50 would be desirable
