Description
- Oversee the preparation and management of financial statements and reports.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
- Manage the organisation’s budget and provide strategic financial planning.
- Supervise and support the accounting team in daily operations.
- VAT knowledge
- Analyse financial data and provide actionable insights to senior management.
- Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors as required.
- Monitor cash flow and forecast future financial trends.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and efficiency improvements.
Profile
A successful School Finance Manager should have:
- Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance.
- Previous experience within a school is essential (independent school is ideal)
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to stakeholders
Job Offer
- Competitive daily rate of approximately £285 to £350, depending on experience.
- Role will be around 6 weeks long!
- The role will be 5 days a week on site, west London location.
